Teddy Bear Festival to return to Village Green

Parade, adoption center, and more planned for community event

NEW MILFORD, Conn. — The family tradition continues.

The 28th Teddy Bear Festival will be held Saturday, June 7, on the Green.

The popular event is presented by the Woman’s Club of Greater New Milford, along with the Town of New Milford.

It draws individuals and families from the region who are looking for a fun day out, interested in family activities, and appreciate the role teddy bears and other stuffed friends play in one’s life.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Attendees are invited to bring their favorite stuffed friend to enjoy the outdoor activities.

Offerings will include an assortment of games, craft vendors, entertainment, and food.

Staples of the event will also return: the Adoption Center where attendees can adopt a new best friend; Teddy Bear Hospital, where stuffed friends can get a check-up and undergo one-day surgery; and a Teddy Bear Parade in which attendees can proudly walk around the Green with their stuffed animal friend.
