New Milford is getting ready to make a splash with the Town’s first annual Family Fun Day, happening Sunday, August30, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at the John Pettibone Community Center!

The afternoon will kick off with some seriously wet fun! Children will begin lining up at 12:00 PM with their favorite water blasters as they get ready for a community water fight with the Town of New Milford’s fire trucks, police vehicles, and Public Works vehicles.

‍

And that’s ONLY the beginning! Families are invited to stick around throughout the afternoon for bouncy houses, water sprinklers, a food truck, additional activities, and even a surprise guest, weather permitting.

Family Fun Day was created as a fun way for families, neighbors, and Town departments to come together for one more memorable summer afternoon before the season winds down. Whether your family comes ready to join the water fight or simply wants to enjoy the activities, there will be plenty happening until 4:00 PM!
