"A Weekend in the Life" returns to New Milford Sept. 4-6, 2026!
New Milford is getting ready to welcome Gilmore Girls fans from near and far this weekend as “A Weekend in the Life” returns September 4-6, 2026!
Organized by Decade Days, this will be the third “A Weekend in the Life” event held in New Milford. The first took place in April 2025, followed by a second event in September 2025. This year’s activities will once again take place at several locations throughout town, including New Milford Town Hall, the Town Green, New Milford High School, St. John’s Church and the downtown area.
Several actors from Gilmore Girls are scheduled to appear during the weekend, including Scott Patterson, Sean Gunn, Chad Michael Murray and Matt Czuchry, along with additional cast members. Guest appearance days vary, and attendees should check the Event Website for the most current schedule and information.
The weekend will include some great activities organized by Decade Days such as autograph and photo opportunities, actor panels, trivia, bingo, crafts, a karaoke pajama party, a Town Hall murder mystery and other themed activities. In addition to the Decade Days Event Schedule, visitors may also spot Gilmore Girls-inspired activities, specials and other fun touches at businesses and organizations throughout the community.
For visitors coming to New Milford for the event, the weekend is also an opportunity to spend some time exploring the Village Center, including the Town Green, our many wonderful and locally owned shops, restaurants and other businesses downtown. Residents can also expect to see plenty of activity around town as fans gather for the weekend. “A Weekend in the Life” begins Friday, September 4, 2026 and continues through Sunday, September 6, 2026.
