Grassroots Ice Cream

Grassroots Ice Cream has been making small-batch, in-house ice cream since 2013, when we first opened in the former Granby General Store. Today, Grassroots has grown into a beloved local destination, with shops in Granby, Simsbury, and New Milford.

Known for our creative flavors and high-quality ingredients, Grassroots offers more than 100 ice cream flavors throughout the year, with new and seasonal creations regularly joining the lineup. The menu ranges from classic favorites, like Double Oreo and Cookie Dough, to inventive combinations, like our signature Goat Cheese Blackberry and Blood Orange Chocolate Chip. The team is always experimenting with new ingredients, techniques, and flavor ideas to keep the lineup fresh and exciting.

Over the years, Grassroots has earned numerous local and regional awards and accolades while continuing to grow as a community-focused small business. Located on Bank Street, the New Milford shop brings Grassroots’ signature ice cream and “Wicked Good” spirit to the heart of downtown.
