Expressing Motherhood Comes to The Merryall Center | October 4th, 2025 | 5:30 – 7:30 pm

The Merryall Center is proud to present Expressing Motherhood on Friday, October 4, at 5:30 pm, featuring a cast of word artists for an evening of poetry, prose, and song.

Expressing Motherhood is a gathering of voices and stories all about the journey of motherhood. Since 2008, Expressing Motherhood has showcased women and men sharing their personal stories on stage. The production began in Los Angeles when two mothers set out to bring authentic stories of motherhood to the stage. Since the show has traveled to Off-Off-Broadway in New York City and across the country from Boston to Tacoma. 

The Merryall Center is thrilled to be its next stop in bringing these powerful stories to our stage for the Litchfield County community. Through spoken word, monologue, and music, Expressing Motherhood offers a heartfelt look at all the nuances and experiences that are forever attached to motherhood.

Join us at The Merryall Center for an evening that promises connection, laughter, and reflection as we share in the stories that shape us all.
